FMCG - Rapidly growing food business

Project Brief:

This unique food business was a 2 year old startup when Condor were engaged to evaluate their technology infrastructure and position them for explosive growth.
As with most startups, the early stages of growth are focused on customers and profit. Technology spend is low down the list of priorities.
This high successful business was gaining 80 new customers every day and growing rapidly.

The business needed a robust infrastructure that would support them through growth and an underlying ERP system that would manage all aspects of the customer journey from product to payment to shipping.

The Solution:

Condor Strategies Consulting led and exercise of selection and evaluation of ERP supplier support tenders. After detailed evaluation through a matrix of requirements a SAS vendor was chosen. By selecting a hosted solution, captial expenditure is minimised and ongoing costs can be more accurately forecast.

To support the business, all hardware and software was standardised and a supplier engaged to provided support services to the business. The driver for this was to reduce the reliance on needing any internal IT staff and so allow staff to focus on running the business.

Condor ascted as an Interim IT Director for 5 months whilst all changes were implemented and until a handover was completed to internal staff

Key Performance Indicators:

With 90% of orders being taken online, the new system enabled the business to manage suppliers, track shipping and inventory and stock control as well as processing online payments. They were also able to manage their customers much more effectively with an ERP solution that provided customer data and segmentation, logistics tracking and automated responses.
